What the game is

STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ is a runs-based racing game set in the Outer Rim after the fall of the Empire. You play as Shade, a lone racer chasing revenge and glory, and you enter the Galactic League: an unsanctioned circuit where syndicates sponsor pilots and fortunes change in seconds. The game leans on skill, strategy and risk rather than the Force or any prophecy. Races are built around contact — you slam, shunt and take down rivals as you fight for position, and the greater the risk you take, the greater the reward waiting for you.

How a group plays it together

The competitive side is online PvP, where you take on strategic grudge matches against other players and your reputation rides with you between them. There is also asynchronous multiplayer, so league activity carries over even when you are not racing the same people live. Alongside that you can ride solo through a story-driven campaign full of shifting alliances, and the tags list singleplayer and roguelike alongside the multiplayer modes, which fits the runs-based structure of the league.

What to know before starting

Repulsorcraft come in several classes — landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers — and each class has its own physics and playstyle, so expect to relearn handling when you switch. Building and customizing your craft matters as much as driving: your setup is meant to show your style and give you a competitive edge. Choices matter too, since every decision shapes your prospects as you climb the ranks and build status in the Galactic League. Vehicular combat and destruction are core to the loop, so contact is not something to avoid. A controller is supported, which suits the driving-heavy feel of the game.
