Racing a shopping cart downhill

Slackers - Carts of Glory is about riding a shopping cart down a hill as fast as you can before the store closes. The cart is the whole game: it has no engine, so you push to get moving, and it has no brakes, no seatbelts and no steering wheel. You collect drinks along the way to refill your stamina, and you look for shortcuts to shave time off your run. There are 32 tracks to work through and 16 different shopping carts to unlock.

Playing with friends

You can run the downhill time attack solo or bring up to 3 friends along for the ride online. Everyone is racing the same course, so it comes down to who finds the better line and keeps the cart under control. The Freestyle mode is separate: you trace your own line, hit ramps and rails, chain tricks together, and grab caps to build a score multiplier. Higher multipliers mean more risk for more points, and scores go on a global leaderboard.

What to know before you start

The game leans on physics, so the cart moves in ways a car never would. Expect a learning curve — the tags list it as difficult, and the store text is blunt about the cart having no brakes and no steering wheel. It is meant to be funny and messy rather than precise. Take a few runs to get a feel for how the cart turns and slides before worrying about your time, and treat the first crashes as part of learning the beast.
