Eugene's hunt for a truck rim
Shotgun Legend is a top-down 2D action RPG with pixel graphics that aims for the feel of a classic console game. Eugene stumbles through a portal along with a truck rim and lands in a strange land taken over by an alien race. Armed with his shotgun and an arsenal of alien technology, he has to find the rim, since it seems to be his ticket home. Along the way he battles aliens and the undead across 10 dungeons to explore.
A shared health pool for two
Multiplayer works through a specific item that lets a second player join in. The two players share their health, so the extra help can potentially increase the damage you deal, but it also means you take more damage. This is a local co-op setup, and Remote Play Together is supported. It is a single item that enables the co-op, so the second player comes in when that item is in play.
What to expect before you start
The game is tagged as difficult and offers minimal hand-holding. Expect to figure out where to go and what to do on your own, in the old-school style. There are 8 active items and 8 passive items to collect, 16 in total, and you can eventually dual wield shotguns.
