What Shipped is
Shipped is a local multiplayer naval battle where you steer, push and shoot. You can accelerate, but you can't brake. Crates give you ammunition, and empty cannons can shoot air to push enemies or deflect incoming fire. Land is dangerous: crashing into it ends your run. The camera keeps moving, so you have to keep up with it. If your ship goes off-screen it instantly explodes. The game also includes a single-player arcade mode and 50 time-trial challenges.
Playing together
Local multiplayer supports 2-8 players, and you can play against the AI. There are 5 different game modes to choose from. The game is compatible with Steam Remote Play Together, so friends can join in remotely. Alongside the multiplayer, you can tackle the single-player challenges alone.
Before you start
There is no braking, so speed management comes down to steering and how you use your cannons. Staying on-screen matters as much as staying away from land. Crates are worth grabbing for ammo, and firing empty cannons still has a use for shoving opponents and turning aside shots. The single-player side gives you the arcade mode plus 50 time-trial challenges if you want to play without a group.
