A shared battleship in a neon galaxy
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a couch co-op action space shooter for 1 to 4 players. You fly one big neon battleship through a colorful galaxy, and the ship itself is the game: turrets, lasers, shields and thrusters all sit at separate stations that players have to physically run between. Nobody sits still for long. While one person aims a gun, someone else has to dash to the engines or get a shield up before the hull takes a hit. The ship is shared, so the group's coordination is the real skill being tested.
How a group plays it together
Two to four players work the ship at once, each filling an important role the whole time, so nobody is stuck watching. A single player can take it on with a loyal AI space-pet helping out. The crew's job is to push through the galaxy, fight evil robots and constellations, rescue kidnapped space-bunnies, and keep everyone out of the vacuum. Movement is simple to pick up — anyone can hop in and control their spacenaut right away — but getting the group to work like a well-oiled machine under pressure is where the challenge lives.
Upgrades and fresh runs
Between fights you find space-gems, and combining them changes what your ship can do. Each gem brings a different ability, so the load-out you build decides which tools you have for the situation ahead. Level layouts are randomized, meaning every session sends the crew through areas you haven't seen before rather than a fixed route you memorize.
Before you start
Plan for local co-op: players share a screen and swap between stations constantly, so a group sitting together fits the game best. Expect a frantic pace where the difficulty comes from coordination, not from complex controls. Bring a few friends, agree who tends to what, and be ready to abandon your post to save the ship.
