Building an empire with dice
Roll for the Galaxy is a strategy dice game where your dice act as your populace. You direct them to develop new technologies, settle worlds, and ship goods across the galaxy. The goal is to manage your workers well and build the most prosperous empire. The game is a dice version of Race for the Galaxy, designed by Wei-Hwa Huang and Tom Lehmann, and it keeps the feel of the original while taking players on a new journey. It comes with nine starting factions, nine starting worlds, and sixty developments and settlements to explore.
Playing together
You can play with 2-5 players in network multiplayer, with both asynchronous and real-time modes available. This makes it easy to fit a game into your group's schedule, whether you want to play a quick round together or take your turns over time. Remote Play Together is also supported, so you can share the experience from one screen. The game includes an advanced neural network AI by Keldon Jones, the developer behind the Race for the Galaxy AI, which is built to challenge even experienced players.
Before you start
This is a strategy game with card and dice mechanics set in space, so expect to think carefully about how you allocate your workers each round. The AI is designed to be a tough opponent, so it can be a good way to practice before jumping into multiplayer. Since there are asynchronous and real-time modes, your group can decide which pace suits you best before you begin.
