Building a fantasy character sheet
Roll Player is a digital version of a dice-manipulation board game where everyone competes to build the strongest RPG character. Each player starts with a random class, alignment and backstory, then rolls and drafts dice to fill out attributes. Dice placement is a puzzle: you arrange values to suit your attributes while also chasing alignment and backstory bonuses. Gold earned along the way is spent in the market phase on skills, traits, weapons and armor. When the game ends, you have a complete character sheet, and the player with the most Reputation Stars wins. Your best heroes are kept in the Hall of Heroes alongside recent games and stats.
Playing with your group
You can play cross-platform online multiplayer, including private online games with friends. Progress syncs across your devices, so a game started on one device can be continued on another. On a single device, local multiplayer works with Steam Remote Play, and you can also face 5 levels of AI, multiple AIs at once, or play Solo mode. An interactive tutorial walks you through play as you learn.
Before you start
Expect turn-based tactics with a puzzle feel: dice drafting and placement decide how well your attributes, alignment and backstory line up, and the market phase is where you convert gold into equipment and abilities. The game is in English.
