A 4X clash that fits in one evening
Nexus 5X is a turn-based 4X game about galactic dominance, played from start to finish in about 60 minutes. You start from the safe haven of your home world and rapidly expand across the galaxy, exploring and occupying new systems until you take control of the throne-world of Nexus. Along the way you get military conflict, diplomatic dealings, and the power struggle in the Galactic Council, where rival empires cast votes on titles and resolutions to empower their faction or advance their immediate strategic goals. The design goal is to deliver the depth, diplomacy, conflict and conquest of a turn-based 4X epic in fast-paced competitive sessions, so "One More Turn" becomes "One More Game."
Playing together
Play Solo or in turn-based multiplayer with 2-8 players. You can play with friends or use skill-based matchmaking to find opponents online. The game supports Online Co-op and Online PvP, and matches run about an hour, so a group can fit several sessions in one evening. Alliances, betrayals, and quiet plotting from the shadows are all on the table as players work toward the Galactic Throne.
Choosing your faction
Pick from unique factions and leaders that alter the approach of each match and offer a range of playstyles. Whether you want to immerse yourself in the lore-rich Stellaris universe as a role-player or play as a by-the-numbers strategist, your choice shapes how you gain the upper hand over opponents. Combat is turn-based and tactics matter, so expect a team-based, science-flavored strategy experience with management and diplomacy woven into every turn.
