What Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR is

Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR is a table tennis game built for VR, with a physics engine written from scratch and tuned with professional table tennis players. The aim is a realistic translation of your swings, based on scientific research and real match data. You can pick between two ways to play: Full Simulation, which goes for the most accurate table tennis feel, and Arcade Mode, which keeps things more entertaining. Both modes have their own separate campaign, so you can run through each one on its own terms. Characters move with motion capture data recorded from professional players, so swings read as one fluid motion rather than canned animation.

Playing with friends

Multiplayer lets you challenge players from anywhere and take them on with strategy and technique. Online PvP is the way to go when your group wants to face each other across the table instead of grinding through the campaign. Since the game leans on realistic physics, matches reward reading your opponent and adjusting your placement, which works well when you are all trying to one-up each other. Practice Mode Pro is there for tightening up your skills before you throw down with the rest of the group.

Before you start

In singleplayer you face 4 members of the Division of Steel per Cup, and higher Cups get tougher. Each opponent has their own temper and a distinct style of play, so no two matches play the same. The story frames the Racket Fury Tournament as the thing keeping peace in the Crown Galaxy after a war that lasted nearly 2 millennia, and you are an aspiring Zen trying to join the Division of Steel.

If you use a headset other than Vive or Rift, set up your SteamVR controller bindings for the game first, otherwise your controls may not work as expected.
