A frantic trip up the Pizza Tower

Pizza Tower is a fast paced 2D platformer built around movement, exploration and score attack. You play as Peppino Spaghetti, a surprisingly agile and powerful fat balding italian, who is on a mission to destroy the titular Pizza Tower in order to save his restaurant from annihilation. His rampage takes you through the many wacky floors of the tower, collecting toppings and beating up monsters along the way. Gustavo shows up as a playable character sometimes. The whole thing runs on highly stylized pixel art inspired by the cartoons of the '90s, backed by a highly energetic soundtrack, with weird crazy characters and animations throughout.

Playing it with friends

The Steam features list Remote Play Together, so one person can host and others can join in from their own machines. The game itself is tagged Singleplayer, so the shared session is a matter of watching and taking turns rather than a built-in co-op mode. That still works well for a group: hand the controller around, chase a high score together, or just enjoy the show while someone else runs the tower.

What to know before starting

The tags include Difficult, so expect a real challenge rather than a casual stroll. The unusual platformer formula rewards playing like you want: go for the highest score, or explore at your own pace and hunt down secrets across up to 5 floors leading to many levels. Expect a lot of destruction in your path, including those stupid rats, and a tone that leans hard into comedy and memes alongside the action.
