A fast martial arts sandbox
Overgrowth puts you in the paws of an acrobatic ninja rabbit who jumps, kicks, throws, and slashes through enemies. The main story is about freeing rabbits from their evil overlords, and a prequel story follows it. Combat is built around choice: pick enemies off one at a time, rush a whole group head-on, or grab the strongest weapon you can find and turn it against everyone else. The camera and context-sensitive controls are designed so that fights look like scenes from a martial arts film, and the game treats experimentation as the real goal rather than simply winning. When you die there is no load time, so you can restart a fight immediately and try a different approach.
Playing together
Overgrowth lists Local Co-Op, Multiplayer, and Remote Play Together among its Steam features, so there are ways to bring friends into the action. The tags also include Sandbox and Physics, which fits the way encounters can play out differently depending on how you approach them. After the story modes are done, the integrated editor opens up nine years of community mods, and you can build your own on top of that.
Before you start
The tag list includes Difficult and Gore, so expect a challenge and some violent content. It is a Third Person, Fast-Paced action game with Parkour and Fighting at its core, and it is tagged Singleplayer as well as multiplayer, so the story can be played alone. Mods range from playing as a human in a city to running a completely new campaign or flying as a bat, so the game keeps changing once you start digging into what the community has made.
