What Out of Ore is
Out of Ore is a mining and industry sandbox set in one of the northernmost regions run by Company Mining Corp. You arrive with limited equipment and experience, and the job is to prospect for ore, set up mining operations, move materials, and sell what you dig up. Each load sold funds the next step: a bigger fleet, better equipment, larger projects. Digging, blasting, road building, material processing, and manufacturing all feed into the same loop, and you shape the landscape as the operation grows. Progress runs from Level 1 to Level 70, ending with the title King of Klondike. You choose your own focus, whether that is mining, construction, logistics, production, exploration, or something bigger.
Playing together
Out of Ore has online co-op, so a group can work the same operation instead of running separate saves. Split the jobs across the crew: some on the heavy machinery extracting ore, some on transport and logistics moving it to the plant, some on roads, buildings, and production facilities. Vehicles and machinery can be customized with lights, GPS systems, paint jobs, tires, tracks, and other upgrades, which gives the group something to tinker with between hauls. The maps are large and open, so there is room for several people to run different parts of the operation at once without getting in each other's way.
Before you start
The game is a work in progress, still in development by a small six-person crew, so expect rough edges and features that change over time. It supports controllers, joysticks, steering wheels, and head tracking through OpenTrack, so pick whatever suits the machinery you spend the most time in. The pace leans toward the relaxing and atmospheric side: this is a slow build from a lone laborer with basic equipment to the owner of a large industrial company, and the early hours are mostly prospecting and hauling rather than big plays.
