What Operation Serpens is
Operation Serpens is a fast paced arcade shooter with a cartoon military look and a 1990s retro feel. You join an elite unit formed to dismantle the evil Snakes Organization, and the action comes in the form of a single player campaign story plus a co-op multiplayer mode. The campaign ships with three difficulty levels, so you can pick how rough you want a run to be. There is also a zombies survival horde mode for when you want to hold out against waves instead of pushing through the story.
Playing it with friends
The co-op multiplayer mode supports up to 4 players, which makes it a straightforward pick for a group that wants to shoot through something together. Alongside that you get the single user campaign, so a smaller group or one person can still work through the story on their own. The zombies survival horde mode gives the group a shared target: survive. Expect fast paced action rather than slow tactical play, with lots of guns, grenades, flashbangs and drones to hand.
Before you start
Movement options include free locomotion, teleportation and room-scale, so you can set up the way that suits your space and comfort. The game also has bHaptics support. It is tagged as a 6DOF on-rails shooter as well as an FPS, so expect the arcade shooting feel to lead the way. Suit up.
