A VR shooter built for two on one PC
Containment Initiative is a local co-op VR shooter from Gwyn Games LLC. One person plays in VR while the other sits at the same machine with mouse and keyboard, and you cover each other against the zombie horde. You can also go through it alone in VR if nobody is around. The game leans on realistic weapon handling: every gun reloads the way its real-world counterpart does, so getting that motion down quickly matters when the horde closes in.
Playing together
The split is asymmetric by design. The VR player is in the thick of it, while the PC player watches their back from the mouse and keyboard. Missions give you different jobs to share: collect supply crates, defend objectives, or give the VR player sniper support while they try to survive as long as they can. Steam Remote Play Together is supported, so a friend can join you online instead of sitting next to you. Both players have their own progression, so neither of you is stuck tagging along while the other advances.
Progression, loot, and gun setup
There is a lot to work toward across sessions. You unlock guns, attachments, and player upgrades, and you find random drops that include exclusive weapon skins, a new melee weapon, and ammo upgrades. Gun customization is part of the loop, so expect to spend time tuning what you carry rather than sticking with your first loadout. Once your guns and gear are in good shape, online leaderboards give you somewhere to measure yourself against other players.
What to know before starting
This is a first-person VR shooter with gore: headshots trigger a slow motion effect so you can watch the carnage. Expect zombies, combat, and a horror atmosphere rather than a light arcade romp. Realistic reloading is central to survival, so budget a little patience at the start while you learn each weapon's handling. The setup needs a VR headset for the VR player, and the second player uses the same PC with mouse and keyboard, or joins remotely through Remote Play Together.
