Squashing bugs with blocks

Oh No! Bugs! is a casual arcade game where you drive a tank around a top-down arena and squash bugs by pushing blocks into them. The levels are laid out as puzzle rooms, so part of the job is reading the space and figuring out which block to shove where. It moves fast, but the core idea stays simple: push, splat, move on. Your mission takes you into the dungeons, where you clear out all the bugs in each level.

Playing together

You can play solo, in local co-op, or online co-op, so the group can split up depending on who is around. The game also supports Remote Play Together, which lets friends join in over a connection when you are not in the same room. Either way the setup is the same: everyone drives their own tank, works through the level layouts, and clears the bugs. Co-op is where the pushing gets chaotic, since two tanks shoving blocks at once can either set up a perfect squash or send a block sliding off in the wrong direction.

Blocks that behave differently

There are six level themes, each with many level layouts, so the arenas do not feel like one room repeated. Each theme brings special blocks that work differently from ordinary ones — bomb blocks, laser blocks, and others like them. Learning what each block does is a big part of the run, since a bomb block solves a crowded corner in a way a plain block never will. Expect the layouts to keep mixing these special blocks into new arrangements as you go deeper.

Tank customization

Your tank is customizable, and new parts unlock as you level up. That gives you something to work toward between runs beyond just clearing the next room: put together a tank you like the look of and keep swapping parts as they come in. Before starting, know that the game is pixel-styled and cartoony, with a family-friendly tone — the bugs get squashed, but nothing heavier than that.
