A time travel sandbox on Pine Island
No Time puts you in an open world where you can travel to any date, hour and minute between 1 AD and 3033 AD. Pine Island changes with the era you land in, and each period carries its own stories, myths and quests. Your main thread is helping your best friend Edward with his scientific affairs, while side stories and mini jobs fill out the trip. The game mixes simulation, story and action, with driving and flight available alongside first-person play. It is in Early Access, so parts of the experience are still being built out.
Traveling together with friends
Steam Friends can join you through a P2P system and travel through time together. This co-op piece is marked Work in Progress, so expect it to be rough around the edges. The Steam features list also includes Online PvP. On your own, the game is a singleplayer experience.
What to watch for before you start
The Time Agents search for any hint of you in the past and will try to take you out, so staying discreet matters. You also need to avoid running into your past selves; you can stalk them or race against them, but drawing attention to yourself in the past is a risk. The world runs on a day and night cycle with weather, seasons and special in-world events, and the NPC population reacts to the economic situation of the year you visit: families form, people marry, have children, die or become criminals. Crafting lets you build unusual weapons and time chips for reaching special locations, and your time machine can be modified, with Workshop support included. The main story runs up to 12 hours of playtime.
