Ship builds and automatic guns

Neon Striker is a roguelike top-down shooter where you pilot a ship instead of aiming yourself. Guns attach to your ship and fire automatically at enemies within range, so the work is choosing what to mount and where. Each ship has its own slots, custom weapons and configurations, and every setup brings its own strengths and weaknesses. Assign weapons to slots to shape your build, then fly through swarms of bullets and space battles while your loadout does the damage.

Flying with friends

You can play solo or join up to three others for cooperative battles, up to four players in total. Everyone pilots their own ship, so the group can mix different ships and configurations to cover each other's gaps. Positioning matters as much as firepower: you weave through enemies and line up your weapons to get the right firing angle, and a friend's ship can cover angles yours cannot reach. Coordinating who mounts what keeps the formation working when the screen fills up.

What to know before starting

The game is in Early Access, so content and balance can change over time. It is a PvE shooter with a minimalist look, and the difficulty comes from reading bullet patterns and traffic while managing your own ship's placement rather than from aiming. Expect to experiment with different ships and weapon slots, since no single configuration handles every situation. The core loop is simple to pick up: build, fly, survive the swarm, and adjust your loadout between runs.
