A card game with lanes and mana burn

Mythgard is a fantasy cyberpunk CCG where heroes, gods, and mythical beasts fight in a modern world. Magic and technology sit side by side, and each faction draws on a real-world culture. Matches are turn-based, and the battle board is split into seven lanes. Every turn you decide where to place creatures, where to cast spells, and where to set your enchantments.

The mana system is the main thing to learn. You burn a card from your hand to make a mana gem of that card's color. The burned card goes back into your deck and can't be burned again, but you can still play it. This gives you direct control over your resources and adds a layer of planning on top of normal card play.

Playing with your group

You can team up with a friend for 2v2, the game's co-op challenge. Both of you build and tune your decks to work as a pair. If your group prefers to compete, there is PvP ladder play and draft modes in both PvE and PvP, with synchronous and asynchronous drafting. Drafting works well for a group that wants a level playing field without bringing pre-built decks.

The in-game tournament system lets you host or join community and official events, including private draft parties with friends. Live spectating lets you watch matches on ladder as they happen, and the replay system stores your last 100 matches so you can review them together and find where a match turned.

Before you start

Chapter 1 of the story campaign introduces the world and works as a starting point for new players. Featured decks rotate weekly and give you an optimized list to play in any mode if you don't want to build from scratch. The built-in deck tracker shows which cards you've seen, burned, and played, and in-game puzzles offer tight lines of play when you want something to solve on your own.

Everything in the game can be earned through play. Faction Missions give new players the equivalent of over 25 card packs and 40 wild cards, and every mode you play earns progress and coins. A weekly chest can add up to 12,000 coins. New players can also use the code WelcomeChallenger for 20 free packs and more. Cross-play between PC and mobile is supported, so your group can mix devices.
