Cleansing the Valley of Life

Mystic Vale is a digital version of the Origins award-winning AEG board game. You take on the role of a druidic clan using blessings to heal the Valley of Life. It is a turn-based strategy card game where you build powerful combos to stop the curse. The game is easy to pick up for newcomers to deck-building, but it remains challenging for experienced players. The artwork is hand-drawn and colorful, and each card features a subtle hint of animation to bring the game to life.

The Card Crafting System

The core of the game is the Card Crafting System. You start and play through the entire match with the same 20 cards, but each card has three slots available for advancements. You buy these advancements from the field and add them to your cards to improve your deck. Each advancement has different abilities and properties, and mixing them together creates powerful combos. Because the combo that wins one match might not win the next, you need to build your deck to suit your specific play style.

Playing With Your Group

You can play online or use local hotseat for up to 4 people in the same room. Online matches let you find community games or host your own public or private rooms to play against friends or random players. You can adjust match settings to suit your group, such as using an extended pool, playing with or without expansions, and adding turn timers to keep the game moving quickly. Online multiplayer is cross-platform, so players on PC, Android, and iOS can play against each other. You can also practice against AI opponents before taking the battle online.

Strategy and Risks

Mystic Vale includes a push-your-luck element. If you risk too much and spoil your hand, you will miss your turn and potentially lose out on a special card you wanted to collect. Some cards offer extra resources and perks, but they may come at a high cost, requiring both courage and caution so you do not overwhelm the land. Keep an eye on your opponent's cards to see what advantage they might have over you and which cards they may be trying to collect.
