Digging into DrillLand
Mr. DRILLER DrillLand is an action puzzle game set in a secret amusement park 500 meters underground. The core loop is simple: drill down through blocks of color while managing your air supply and watching out for falling debris. The park holds five attractions, and each one runs on its own set of rules, so the way you approach one stage does not carry over to the next. Digging is easy to pick up, but the different rules and the final boss in each attraction give you something to work at. The game also includes a Casual mode built for players who want to move through DrillLand at a slower pace without the pressure.
Playing together
The game supports local multiplayer for up to 4 players on one setup. You can race each other to the finish, fight it out in Free-for-All, or team up in Doubles. Online PvP is available as well, and Remote Play Together lets friends join in over a connection. The local modes turn the digging into a direct competition, since everyone is working through the same blocks at the same time and the fastest or last one standing takes it.
Before you start
There are five attractions to work through, each with its own rules and a final boss at the end, so expect the goals to shift as you move between them. The Steam version carries updated graphics and HD cutscenes. The game carries an Anime, Cartoony, Colorful presentation with a soundtrack worth noting, and it works as a singleplayer experience or a group one depending on how you set it up.
