Two puzzle games in one match
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 puts Puyo Puyo and Tetris® side by side, so you get Puyo-popping and Tetrimino-clearing in the same package. It works as a singleplayer game, and it also has local and online play for up to 4 players. The cast includes new and returning characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Marle, Rafisol, and The Ocean Prince.
Playing together
Your group can compete in Puzzle Leagues or team up in the online co-op Boss Raid mode. Local play supports up to 4 players on one setup, and Remote Play Together lets friends join over the internet. Skill Battle mode adds an RPG layer: each character has HP, MP, Attack, Defense, and Recovery, and their skills can recover HP, change Puyo colors, erase Lines, and more. Build a team with complementary skills, equip Item Cards, and keep an eye on HP and MP during the match.
Before you start
Adventure Mode follows a new story across merged worlds, with an overworld map to navigate as the characters rescue their pals from a dark corruption. Lessons mode has over 150 interactive lessons if you want to learn the ropes first. The game is tagged as difficult, so expect a learning curve even though it is family friendly. Replay stages for more rewards, try different difficulty levels, and unlock characters, backgrounds, and bonus stages as you go.
