A storybook adventure with Quill
Moss: The Forgotten Relic puts you inside a living storybook where a fallen kingdom is slowly being reclaimed by untamed nature. You guide Quill, a small and courageous mouse who looks to you for guidance, protection, and trust throughout her journey. The game combines 3D platforming with handcrafted, diorama-like environmental puzzles scattered across the landscape, plus combat encounters against arcane threats. It brings Moss and Moss: Book II together into a single complete experience, with all Twilight Garden DLC included, enhanced visuals and performance, new handcrafted cutscenes, and a smart follow camera. The soundtrack is an orchestral score by Jason Graves.
Playing together with your group
The game is built as a singleplayer experience, but it offers optional local co-op: one person plays as Quill while the other plays as the Reader, each using a separate controller. That split gives your group a natural way to take part together in the same session rather than passing one controller around. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, which lets others join in over a connection when you start the game. Between the two roles, your group can decide who handles the platforming and who takes on the guiding side before you begin.
Before you start
A few things are worth knowing up front. Combat is part of the experience, but there is an accessibility option called "skip combat" if your group would rather focus on exploration and puzzles. The story leans emotional and intimate, with hidden secrets placed off the beaten path, so taking time to poke around the environment pays off. The tone is classic fantasy with a cute, small-scale hero facing towering dangers, and the pacing suits a group that enjoys atmosphere and puzzle solving as much as action. Settle who plays Quill and who plays the Reader, sort out controllers, and you are ready to open the book.
