What this collection contains
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2 bundles six action RPGs: both versions of Mega Man Battle Network 4 (Red Sun and Blue Moon), both versions of Mega Man Battle Network 5 (Team Protoman and Team Colonel), and both versions of Mega Man Battle Network 6 (Cybeast Gregar and Cybeast Falzar). The series also expanded into anime and comics. The games are playable in English, Japanese, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese. A gallery of illustrations and music is included. The toy link features found in the original versions are not supported.
How the battles and deckbuilding work
You play as Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, jacking into the net to fight enemy programs in grid based battles. Between fights you search the net for rare and powerful BattleChips and build a deck of special moves, so the action and the deckbuilding feed into each other. The setting is 20X, where portable exploration devices called PETs and personality simulation programs called NetNavi have made network technology part of daily life, and network crime has grown alongside it. Lan and MegaMan.EXE take on those incidents.
Playing together and before you start
Online play is supported, including PvP, so you can take your deck into matches against other players. Trading is part of the series as well. Note that this product is also available as part of a bundle, and Vol. 1 covers Mega Man Battle Network 1-3, so check what you already own to avoid buying the same games twice.
