Doing everything by hand
Manual Samuel puts you in charge of a spoiled rich kid who died and talked Death into giving him one more day. The catch is that nothing runs on autopilot anymore. Breathing, blinking, drinking, walking, talking, getting dressed, driving to work, and fighting robots all become inputs you have to fire one clumsy step at a time. Miss a beat and Sam can flop straight back to the afterlife. The whole thing is a hand-drawn 2D world with a darkly comic streak, and Death himself tags along to make the day worse.
Playing it together
The game carries Local Co-Op and Multiplayer tags, plus Remote Play Together, so friends can join in on the manual labor. Handing the controls around is where the comedy lands: one person keeping Sam breathing while another tries to walk him into a wall. The awkward control scheme is the point, so expect the group to argue over whose turn it is to blink.
Before you start
The controls are intentionally awkward and the difficulty is tagged as difficult, so the first hour is meant to feel clumsy. There are Simplified and Traditional Chinese subtitles, with subtitle support across 12 languages, and updated controller support for keyboard or controller play. Past the main day, there are Speedrun and Challenge modes to master per chapter, five in-game comics covering character backstories, over 600 lines of voiced dialogue, and 8 new achievements to chase.
