What Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is
This is a top-down 2D shooter from Crackshell, the developer of Hammerwatch, set in the Serious Sam saga. You fight through Mediterranean landscapes, biological weapons laboratories, and high-tech moon bases. The game uses pixel graphics and a twin-stick style of shooting, with plenty of enemies on screen at once.
Playing with your group
The Campaign Mode can be played solo or with 2 to 4 players online. As you clear levels, you gain experience and level up through a perk system. For competitive play, Versus Mode offers Deathmatch and other options for up to 12 players. Survival Mode can be played solo or with up to 12 players. Remote Play Together is also supported, letting friends join in from their own setups.
Before you start
The game includes a game editor with full mod support, so you can create your own mods, modes, and total conversions. Dozens of mods are already available or in development. The game is tagged as violent and features gore, so keep that in mind for your group.
