A Realistic Karting Simulator
Kart Racing Pro is a realistic karting simulator built on a scratch-built physics engine that accurately simulates kart dynamics and setup options. The aim is to create software useful as a training tool for real drivers. The simulation includes an automotive industry-standard tyre model, chassis flex simulation, and dynamic track surface features such as groove buildup, wet track simulation with dynamic drying, and dynamic marbles generation. Tyres pick up marbles, grass, and dirt, which affects grip. Data is collected during events to provide statistics for drivers' comparison, and CSV files with telemetry data can be output to analyze driving sessions. A plugins interface allows external programs to receive realtime data from the simulated kart.
Racing Together Online
Kart Racing Pro allows players to host and join online races with an integrated matchmaking server. LAN and online racing are supported, and a dedicated server is available. Support of custom paint schemes for kart, helmet, and suit lets each driver stand out. Full modding is possible, so advanced users can build new tracks, karts, engines, helmets, and more, then integrate them with the provided tools.
Before You Start
A steering wheel is strongly recommended, although keyboard, joysticks, and gamepads are fully supported. Native Oculus Rift and SteamVR (HTC Vive, Valve Index) support is included, along with TrackIR, FreeTrack, and EDTracker support. Please note that there are neither AI nor a career mode. User-selectable driver gestures are also available.
