Two roles, one building
IT Simulator is a co-op horror game where two players try to get power back to an office building. One of you sits in the Control Room, watching floor-wide diagnostics, opening SPLADD REPAIR TERMINALS, and using security cameras and doors during emergencies. The other is the Repair Technician, moving through the building in person to fix the wifi, repair copy machines, and reach the backup generator on the bottom floor. The Control Room Operator works from behind a flimsy wooden door while the Technician does the physical work.
Getting out together
SPLADD Electronics Site-12 is offline and the door out is locked, so getting the lights back on is what stands between you and escape. The backup generator on the bottom floor is blocked by obstacles, and repair terminals are installed throughout the building to help clear them. Accessing those terminals without permission counts as a security violation and will alert security, so the Control Room has to grant access as the Technician works. The motion trackers keep beeping, but only the two of you have trackers online, which is written off as a malfunction during the repair cycle. Even so, staying away from unexpected lights is the sensible move. The archive data from the black box is heavily damaged and runs on old hardware, and what it shows gets stranger the deeper it goes.
Before you start
This is a two-man job, so you need exactly one partner for the campaign. The building is presented in 3D with a first-person view, and the campaign runs in a linear path rather than an open structure. Expect puzzle solving, stealth, and horror with Lovecraftian and sci-fi elements, plus pixel graphics in places. The tone leans into cosmic forces beyond comprehension, and the initial investigation notes suggest that the thing in the archive may not even be the main threat.
