What Heave Ho 2 is
Heave Ho 2 is a 2-4 player party game built around grabbing and swinging. Your character is a chain of limbs you fling from platform to pillar, and the whole run depends on holding on at the right moment. Let go too early and you drop into the void; keep a solid grip and swing with timing and you reach the finish line. The game is a 2D platformer with physics-driven movement, a cartoony look, and a family friendly tone.
Playing together
The sequel keeps the couch co-op of the original and adds online play for the first time. Up to four players can run the levels together in co-op, taking each other by the hand or head and swinging as one ungainly chain across gaps. The same setup also works for versus play, where a series of frantic challenges turn teammates against each other. Remote Play Together lets people join in from a distance as well.
Worlds and items
The run takes you through eight themed worlds, including weightless space, kitchen chaos, medieval mayhem, and ninja nonsense. Along the way you push, pull, shoot, and squeeze a range of items: pop guns, drones, space ships, ski lifts, keys, ketchup, and lasers. These objects change how a section plays and give you more ways to move yourself and your partners.
Before you start
Expect a game where timing and grip matter more than fast reflexes, and where a missed hold sends you falling. Versus mode is built to start arguments, so a group that enjoys friendly rivalry will get more out of it. The game supports 2-4 players in local and online co-op and versus play, and it runs on controller.
