What Goober Dash is

Goober Dash is a 2D platformer race royale where 32 players compete at once across hundreds of hand-crafted courses. You run, jump and dash through stages full of hazards to dodge and shortcuts to find, and the dash is the core tool: use it to outmaneuver opponents, smash through obstacles, or take down rivals on the way to the finish line. The look is colorful and cute, with Goobers as the little customizable characters you control. Matches are quick and chaotic, so a run that goes badly is easy to jump back into.

Playing together with friends

The main draw for a group is the Race Royale format: everyone is in the same lobby, racing the same course at the same time, so you are constantly bumping into each other and reacting to the same hazards. The Course Creator is where things get personal. You can design your own race tracks and play them against your friends, then submit them to the community level database. Top-rated community levels get added to the game, and their creators earn rewards such as gems, exclusive skins, badges and an honorary role in the community. That means one person in your group can spend an evening building a track and the rest of you can race it the next day.

Before you start

There is a lot of cosmetic depth to work through: outfits, emotes, unique reactions and celebrations, plus exclusive skins you unlock along the way. Character customization is a big part of making your Goober stand out in a 32-player crowd, so expect to spend some time in the menus before your first race. Time trials are a separate mode with global best-time leaderboards, where you collect medals for strong runs and climb the ranks on your own. Controller support is listed, so you can pick whichever input feels better for precision platforming. The game is tagged as family friendly and casual, but the physics-based movement and precision platforming mean clean jumps and well-timed dashes still matter when the field is packed.
