Digging for the Giant Crystal
Goblin Company puts you in the boots of a Goblin miner working for WHAAG MINING INC. Your job is to dig down through fully destructible caves, fight off the creatures living there, and reach the legendary Giant Crystal. The laser drill is your main tool, and it can carve new paths wherever you point it, so the route through the caves is yours to shape. Along the way you gather resources and hunt for valuable tools to bring back up.
Working Together Underground
You can head into the mines alone or bring up to three friends for online co-op. A shared problem is the darkness: staying in the light keeps anxiety at bay, and the dark will drain your life. Torches can be carried, thrown, or placed, so a group can hand light to each other and cover more ground. Fighting hostile creatures is easier when you watch each other's backs, and pooling your efforts speeds up the search for the crystal.
Rails, Upgrades, and Preparation
Part of the job is building a rail network for mining carts. Laying out routes and optimizing them makes moving material more efficient while you explore. Between runs you can upgrade the laser, boost abilities, unlock tools, and customize your Goblin to work harder and faster. The mines hold three different biomes to discover, each with its own layout and threats.
Before you start, know that death is permanent for that character: if you die, they send another Goblin to replace you. Progress carries over through the mining system and new Goblin technologies, so a lost run is not a lost account. Plan your light, keep the rails useful, and dig toward the deepest darkness where the Giant Crystal waits.
