What Goblin Cleanup is about

You play as a goblin cleaner hired by the dungeon manager to get a dungeon ready for the next group of adventurers. The heroes have already run through it, so the floors and ceilings are covered in blood, objects are out of place, traps are broken, creatures are dead or missing, and the chests are empty. Your job is to put everything back the way it was. The dungeons are dark and full of terrors, and some traps were never triggered by the adventurers, so they are still active while you work.

How a group plays it together

You can clean a dungeon alone or with up to three companions, for four players online. Everyone plays as a goblin alongside the other goblins. You split up the work: one person scrubs blood off the floor and ceiling with the Slimop, mimic, and slime dispenser tool, another puts objects back in their original positions, another restores and reactivates traps, and another respawns creatures, disposes of their remains, refills chests with items, and clears away whatever the heroes left behind. Cooperation is optional in practice. If a cleaner dies, their pieces and blood become part of the mess someone has to clean up, on top of what the heroes already left. The dungeons are filled with unique challenges and hazards, so the group has to watch for traps and keep the monsters fed so they do not eat you or your friends.

Before you start

The game is in Early Access, so content and systems can change while you play. It is a third-person and first-person dungeon crawler with character customization, and it carries dark, atmospheric, and gore content. You can play it singleplayer, but the co-op setup is built around four players online. Expect to spend your time cleaning, restoring, and respawning rather than fighting your way through the dungeon yourself.
