Dropping fruit into a growing pile
Fruit Salad is a physics puzzle game where you drop bouncy fruit into a container. When two matching fruits touch, they merge into the next bigger fruit. You start with a tiny cherry and work your way up to a giant watermelon. The container fills as you go, so every drop needs to leave room for the next one. Points rack up as the fruit get bigger, and the goal is to squeeze out as many as you can before the space runs out.
Playing together
Classic Versus lets you challenge a friend on the same computer with Local Versus, or invite a Steam friend to play online with Steam Friends Versus. Each player has their own board, and the highest score wins. When one player fills their container, their score locks. If the other player is already ahead, they win. Otherwise, they keep playing until they beat the target or fill their own container. Equal final scores mean a draw. You can watch your friend's board as you play, then jump into a rematch to settle the score.
Other ways to play
Classic is the standard experience where you take your time, plan your drops, and see how many points you can fit into one container. Survival is a race against the clock where every merge gives you bonus time, but the run ends when the timer runs out. Arcade adds fruit with special properties, and merges can create surprises that unleash abilities and push your score higher. Daily Salad gives everyone the same fruit sequence each day so you can compete for the day's high score on even footing. Classic mode also tracks scores on the Steam leaderboards so you can try to beat your friends' numbers.
