A mansion built on light and shadow
From the Shadows is a cooperative puzzle platformer set inside a mysterious mansion. The puzzles revolve around the mechanics of light and shadow, so expect to move between bright and dark spaces to open the way forward. The place is hostile: the two players are struck by a mysterious curse and soon realize they are not welcome. The occupants of the premises work against you, and the goal is to escape the castle alive. The game carries an atmospheric, cartoony and colorful look with dark humor woven into the exploration.
Playing together
Two players join forces to work through the mansion, combining their efforts to solve the light and shadow puzzles and get past the hostility of the castle. A solo game mode is also available if you would rather venture alone, where you can only rely on yourself to make it out alive. Remote Play Together is supported, so a group can share the session from one copy.
Before you start
The core loop is puzzle solving and platforming rather than combat, so expect to spend time reading how light and shadow interact in each room. The curse and the unwelcoming occupants add pressure to the escape, and the tone mixes atmosphere with comedy and dark humor. Whether you go in with a partner or alone, the plan is the same: solve, move, and find a way out.
