Aiming tanks with a mean streak

Fortress 2 BLUE is a team-based artillery brawl where you set angle and power, factor in the wind, and fire. The physics do the rest: a gust can drag a shot wide, a slope can send a shell rolling, and terrain traps sit ready to catch anyone who misjudges. Shots land where they land, so a round can swing on one lucky bounce or one careless tap. It is built as a lighthearted, cartoon-flavored shooter rather than a serious war sim, and the tone stays loose — a failed shot is as likely to be funny as it is costly.

Playing with your group

Pick red or blue and jump into the team modes: Capture the Flag and King of the Hill. Coordination matters — call out targets, plan who pushes, and cover each other while you move. At the same time the mode is set up for friendly interference, since blasts can shove teammates around, including off ledges. Private Rooms let you set up matches with your friends and adjust the rules to whatever your group wants to run, so you can keep a session going with your own settings instead of matching into a public lobby each time.

Dressing up and staying in for the long run

A garage full of tank skins and cosmetics lets you change how your tank looks: retro camo, sci-fi armor, animal themes, bold patterns. Emotes, skins and other rewards unlock as you play, including through seasonal rewards, so your tank ends up carrying a record of how long you have been at it. Community events run as limited-time modes with rule twists, which keeps the standard team formats from going stale.

Before you start

Matches are online PvP, so you need a connection and other players to fight. The singleplayer tag appears alongside the multiplayer tags, and the described modes are all team-based, so expect other people to be involved in most of what the game offers. It is free to play. The core loop is quick rounds of aiming, firing and laughing at the outcome — go in expecting chaos, and treat the near-misses as part of the fun rather than a problem to solve.
