What Forsworn is
Forsworn is a turn-based tactics roguelite set in a realm torn apart by divine war. You command a party of heroes through unforgiving battles, exploring the map and pushing toward the gods themselves. The goal is to stack synergies between your heroes until the party can slay gods, and the build options are wide: 150+ items to build around and 200+ abilities, each with its own upgrade path. Every hero has a unique Ultimate Ability, and Ultimate Charge builds from every move you make — attacking, casting spells, or defending — so defensive play feeds your big moments too.
Playing it with friends
You can lead your champions alone or rally up to three friends in co-op. Battles use simultaneous turns for all players, so nobody sits waiting on each individual action and the fight stays fast and tactical while you work together for the realm's survival. Co-op covers the campaign, so your group plays through the same runs and encounters as a shared party rather than side by side in separate games.
Runs, death and difficulty
When a run ends in death, resurrection starts the next one, and defeat is treated as a beginning rather than a wall. Difficulty scales up across runs with new layers of challenge: random modifiers added to enemies, and map-wide trials that affect the entire encounter. Because runs and encounters are meant to stay fresh, different party builds give you different ways through the same content.
Building your party
The party is assembled from 6 unique heroes, and each hero has 3 distinct subclasses that alter their playstyle. Victory leans on how you combine them — chaining powers to create devastating synergies rather than relying on raw stats. Upgrades do more than raise numbers: they evolve abilities, unlock new mechanics, and deepen how a hero plays, so a build keeps changing shape as it comes together. That is where the theorycrafting happens, working toward the broken, game-breaking combos the game is built around.
