An expedition into cursed tombs
FOREWARNED is a co-op survival horror game for 1-4 players. You and your friends take on the roles of archaeologists entering haunted ancient Egyptian tombs. The goal on each run is to investigate phenomena, gather treasure, uncover lore, and get out alive. The ruins are guarded by the cursed Mejai, mummies that will physically manifest to stop you. Each Mejai has its own traits and abilities, so identifying which one haunts the tomb matters as much as fighting it.
Playing together
You can play solo, with friends, or join a public lobby online. Success depends on splitting up tasks, sharing what you find, and covering each other while someone works on a puzzle or grabs an item. The game includes proximity voice chat for talking to whoever is nearby and global voice chat for the whole team, so you can coordinate without leaving the game.
Tombs that change every run
There are twelve maps set across the Sahara, and each one contains a procedurally generated tomb with a huge number of possible layouts. Traps, creatures, puzzles, and other features differ from run to run, so memorizing a route only helps so far. Tools and equipment can be bought with collected gold and upgraded to work better, and rare treasure you extract gets displayed in your lobby.
Going deeper
The ancient texts describe a ritual on the tomb's lowest level that can banish the curse. Attempting it means pushing further into danger instead of leaving with what you already carry. Death does not end your run: you can return as a servant of the Mejai, choosing whether to still help the survivors or serve your new master. The game supports PC and VR play with crossplay between them, and VR includes haptic feedback. There are also over 150 lore pages to find, plus character customization, archaeological tasks, prestige, and difficulty options.
