What Forsake is
Forsake is a first-person co-op survival horror game for 1 to 4 players. You are part of an urban explorer group that breaks into prohibited places: six locations in total, each guarded by one of seven entities that hunt you. Your goal in a run is to exorcise the entity, but you can also loot, complete bonus missions, and dig through the map for hidden codes, secret mechanisms, and keys that open closed areas. Maps are partly randomized, so sections, items, and loot change between runs of the same location. You can play alone or with your group.
How your group plays it together
Everyone picks up to three pieces of urbex equipment before heading in, then talks through proximity voice chat, which works in-game and picks up whoever is close. That matters because you are the prey: you can either stay quiet and move through areas where entities wander without being detected, or push through using your gear and lightsticks. Splitting up to cover more ground is possible, but the entities have their own unique behaviors, so knowing what each one does is how you exorcise it. You can leave an exploration at any point and keep the loot you already grabbed, then return better equipped. Loot earns money for new equipment, and completing the main mission, bonus missions, or plain grinding runs gives experience that unlocks new maps and skills.
Before you start
Pick perks from the skill tree before a run and decide whether you lean into speed, strength, or technique, since that shapes how you play the whole exploration. Difficulty scales through a progression system, so later runs get sharper. There is a bestiary to fill by encountering each entity and completing its specific objectives, which is a decent reason to revisit places you have already cleared. Randomized loot and map parts mean no two runs are identical, and escaping early with your haul is a normal tactic rather than a failure. Expect to be hunted, to rely on your team's voice calls, and to come back with better gear when a place beats you the first time.
