How Fibbage XL plays out

Fibbage XL is a bluffing party game where you read a question with a missing blank, then type in an answer you hope everyone else believes. The real answer is usually something outrageous, so the trick is writing a lie that sounds plausible enough to fool the room. Each round shows you a set of answers to pick from, and you try to spot the truth while avoiding the lies your friends just made up. If someone picks your lie, you score points for the deception. The game runs in English only.

Playing together with your group

This is local multiplayer for 2 to 8 players, and everyone uses a phone, tablet, or keyboard as their controller. You type your lies directly on your own device, so there is no shared screen typing or passing a controller around. Remote Play Together is available on Steam, which lets friends join in over a connection rather than sitting in the same room. The game also supports a Twitch log-in, and there is a Family-Friendly Filter you can turn on to keep the questions and content suitable for a mixed group.

Before you start

Fibbage XL is the standalone version of the game that first appeared in The Jackbox Party Pack, so it carries over the same bluffing format with some added features. Since it is local multiplayer, you will want everyone in the same place or set up through Remote Play Together. Make sure each player has a device they can type on, since entering your lie is the core of every round. The Family-Friendly Filter is worth enabling if kids or a broader audience are playing, and the Twitch log-in is there if your group streams or plays through that route.
