Climb famous landmarks with your bare hands

Extreme Climbing puts you on the outsides of some of the world's best-known structures and asks you to get up them with nothing but your hands and feet. The list includes the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Tokyo Sky Tree Tower, Dubai Tower, the Pyramid, Guangzhou Tower, Oriental Pearl TV Tower and CCTV Tower, among others. Each building has its own shape and its own geometry to read, so what works on a lattice like the Eiffel Tower won't map neatly onto a smooth spire. The game is tagged in 3D and plays with a controller, and it's built around a simple, repeatable loop: find the next hold, commit to it, and keep going up.

Playing together

Extreme Climbing supports both Online Co-op and Online PvP. Co-op means you and your friends can be on the same structure at the same time, each making your own way up, while PvP puts you against each other on the climb. The store text doesn't specify how many people can share a session or what the exact rules of a match are, so check in-game once you're set up.

Before you start

The game carries a lot of tags at once — Casual, Simulation, Sports, Action-Adventure, Action Roguelike, eSports — which reflects a mix of laid-back sightseeing and competitive climbing rather than a single defined mode. It also lists Singleplayer and VR, so you can play alone or in VR if your setup supports it. Expect a physics-driven climbing game where falls and retries are part of the process, and give yourself some time on the first building to get a feel for how the grab and release controls respond before judging the harder towers.
