A Woodfish on Your Desktop
Electronic Woodfish is a casual idle game that sits on your Windows desktop with a transparent background. You can drag it anywhere, scale it, pin it on top of other windows, or hide it. Every time you click the woodfish or press a keyboard key, you hear a crisp knock, see a bounce effect, and get "merit +1" floating up. The current merit can be spent on treasure chests, while your total accumulated merit is recorded permanently. You can adjust the volume, merit text, counting box, and woodfish size so it fits the way you work, study, watch videos, or play other games.
Playing Together Online
Electronic Woodfish supports online co-op through the Steam lobby, with rooms for up to 4 players. You can create a public or password-protected room and invite friends via Steam room chat. Everyone's woodfish skin and accessories are synchronized, along with tapping movements, sounds, and the "merit +1" text. You can see other players' current merits. Each player can place the other players' woodfish anywhere on their own desktop without changing the other player's position, and can individually turn off other players' woodfish, text, sound effects, merit numbers, unboxing light effects, or chat prompts.
Skins, Chests, and Crafting
The game includes hundreds of woodfish skins and accessory skins with different themes. New tradable skins can come from your Steam inventory, and the Skin Warehouse lets you view, wear, lock, and organize your collection. Ornaments can be adjusted independently: display level in front or behind the woodfish, landscape and portrait position, and 0.2 to 2.0 times independent size, with separate adjustment parameters for each woodfish type. After the novice guide, you can open merit treasure chests. An ordinary chest costs 1,000 current merit points and may yield tradable woodfish or accessory skins. Drop rarity is approximately: Normal 85%, Excellent 15%, Rare 7.5%, Epic 2.5%, Legend 0.1%. New items do not automatically replace your current appearance.
Collections and Synthesis
The illustrated book shows all woodfish and accessories, including ones you have not obtained, with owned and not-included status, item name and rarity, classification collection progress, and collection goals. Completing designated categories unlocks local, non-tradable collection skins and Steam achievements. When you have duplicate tradeable items, crafting lets you combine 10 tradable items of the same rarity into 1 random item of higher rarity. Woodfish skins and jewelry skins can be mixed, and the result may be either type. Default gifted skins, collection skins, legendary skins, currently worn items, and player-locked items are not automatically added to synthesis.
