A digital D&D board game you can pick up quickly
Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is a cooperative tactical RPG set in the Forgotten Realms. You command a party of heroes through turn-based battles and choice-based storytelling, moving on a grid, drawing cards, and spending abilities to get through each encounter. The game draws on familiar D&D material: classic settings, classes like paladin, sorcerer, ranger, fighter, bard and rogue, plus effects such as fiery explosions and divine healing. The rules are trimmed down so a session gets going fast, whether you have played much D&D or not.
Playing together with your group
Up to 4 players can take on the same adventure, each controlling their own hero. Turns are tactical, so there is time between actions to talk through plans: coordinate moves, set traps, and combine abilities so one player's setup pays off for another. The game leans on that coordination — teamwork is the main tool you have for getting past tougher fights. If nobody is available, single player mode lets you command a party of multiple heroes yourself, so the same adventures work either way.
What to know before you start
Combat is card-driven: you draw abilities each round and adapt to what comes up, so no two turns play out identically. Battles reward planning ahead — controlling the battlefield and chaining abilities together beats reacting on the fly. Two campaigns are available at launch, covering locations such as Neverwinter Wood, Cragmaw Castle and the Spine of the World, with further adventures planned as DLC. Runs change between sessions, so replaying a campaign stays different. Expect a strategy-heavy pace rather than action: you are reading the board, weighing your cards, and deciding where each hero should stand before the enemy reacts.
