What Curvatron is
Curvatron is a minimalist take on the classic snake games from old Nokia phones. You control a single button, and each press turns your snake, so the line you draw becomes the obstacle you have to avoid. The controls are easy to pick up but hard to get good at, which is where the difficulty comes from. Sessions are short, so it fits into a gap between other games, and the simple visuals keep the screen readable even when things get crowded. The sound design is calm, and the soundtrack is made up of 30 pieces contributed by people around the world.
Playing together
Multiplayer is a tron-like mode for up to 8 players on the same system, where everyone's trails cut off the others. That means you are steering your own line while trying to force someone else into theirs. The game accepts keyboard, mouse, and controllers, but it only supports one controller at a time — multiple controllers get mapped as a single controller, so plan your seating and input setup before you start a round. Remote Play Together is available, which lets friends join over a connection rather than sitting at the same machine.
Modes and making levels
Adventure mode runs through a set of levels with rising difficulty. Classic mode is score-based survival: collect points and stay alive as long as you can. Evergrowing drops the points entirely and just asks you to get as big as possible. Creative mode is for showing off snake-shaped art to friends. Beyond those, there is a level editor — the same tool used to build the shipped levels — plus Workshop support, so you can download community levels or publish your own. Expect the game to punish sloppy turns; the difficulty tag is there for a reason.
