Running the night shift in CURE

CURE drops you into an Emergency Room during the early days of the apocalypse. You take the overnight shift: order supplies, watch the budget, and deal with whoever comes through the doors. Patients show up with symptoms that get stranger as the outbreak goes on, so diagnosis is a real task — you use interactive tools to work out what is wrong, then decide between normal care and quarantine while the clock keeps running. The store text is clear that treatment sometimes needs a heavy hand, so expect to make calls that sit uncomfortably with the doctor's oath. The whole thing plays out in first-person, which keeps patient care feeling hands-on and fast rather than menu-driven.

Playing it with friends

CURE is built for co-op, with up to six players sharing the shift. Keeping patients alive means keeping each other alive too, so splitting roles matters — someone on supplies and inventory, someone on diagnosis, someone watching the perimeter when things outside get hostile. The store text frames teamwork as essential, not optional, since you are simultaneously treating the living and fending off the undead. You can also play solo if your group cannot line up schedules. Beyond the game itself, there is Twitch and Discord integration: the Shoutout Engine lets a stream's audience show up as patient NPCs during live sessions, which gives creator groups a way to pull their community into the shift directly.

Building, growing, and what to know first

Earning money lets you expand and upgrade the hospital, and growth unlocks new medicine, diagnostic tools, weapons, and story insights across surviving nights. You set up equipment, organize the layout, and decorate the place — the hospital design is a gameplay layer, not just cosmetics. Two things to note before starting: it is an Early Access title with a 2026 roadmap, so content and balance will keep changing, and the feature set described here comes from the developer's own text. Come in ready to juggle administrative work and first-person action at once, because CURE asks you to manage a hospital and defend it in the same breath.
