What Crawl is
Crawl is a local multiplayer dungeon crawler where your friends control the monsters. You battle through randomly generated dungeons full of cruel traps and horrid beasts, all controlled by the other players. If a friend kills you, they take your place and it's their turn to crawl. It's a race to gain enough XP and loot to take on the hulking final boss, where your friends control its flailing limbs. Each game runs about 30 minutes.
How your group plays together
Play solo or with up to 4 in local multiplayer. Every trap and monster can be controlled by your real-life buddies, so the dungeon itself is against you. When you die, whoever killed you steps into your boots and starts crawling while you switch to controlling the dungeon. You can play with controllers, keyboard or mouse. What to know before starting
You level up and amass a huge variety of weapons, spells and items during each run. You also evolve over 60 unique monsters, from mere vermin into powerful demons and undead warriors. The game includes vicious single player AI, challenges to master, and items to unlock. The tags list gore, Lovecraftian and horror themes alongside the fantasy dungeon setting, so expect a grim tone with pixel graphics and a soundtrack noted for its quality.
