What Clue/Cluedo is

Clue/Cluedo is the classic murder-mystery board game rebuilt in 3D. Three cards are dealt face-down at the start and set aside: they hold the solution, so someone committed the crime with a specific weapon in a specific room. You move around the board by rolling dice, enter rooms, and make suggestions about who did it, with what, and where. Other players answer by showing you a card from their hand if it disproves your suggestion, and you mark everything off on your clue sheet until only the truth remains. When you think you know the answer, you make an accusation. Get it right and you win; get it wrong and you are out of the game.

The original mystery runs through the Tudor Mansion with Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Chef White, Solicitor Peacock and Mayor Green, and you unlock their motives and alibis as you play. Beyond that there are new crime scenes written for the digital version, with new characters, clues, motives and case files, and the trail leads to locations around the world.

Playing it with your group

You can play a private online match or local multiplayer with friends and family, and there is Online PvP and Remote Play Together for getting a session going with people who are not in the same room. If the group is short a player, AI opponents fill the seats and adapt to your skill level.

There are three ways to play. Classic Mode is the board game as you remember it. Clue Cards mode is a quicker round. Ultimate Detective Mode is exclusive to this version: everyone answers suggestions at the same time, but secretly, and you face your suspects in direct interrogation. That mode leans hard on deduction rather than waiting for turns.

Before you start

The core loop is bookkeeping as much as movement: keep your clue sheet accurate, because a suggestion that gets disproved tells you what is not the answer, and a suggestion nobody can disprove tells you something else entirely. Accusations are final, so hold off until your notes actually support a conclusion.

The base game covers the original mystery. Extra expansions and suspect packs exist as separate content, including resort, retreat, research station and mansion cases, additional playable characters, and cosmetics.
