What Circuit Superstars is
Circuit Superstars is a top-down racing game built around a tactile arcade physics model and a pure motorsport approach. The camera looks down on the track, but the handling still asks a lot of you: you feel the tires bite into the asphalt, and each of the 12 vehicles has its own handling model to learn. Starting out is simple, yet finding the best racing line through every corner of every track takes real time to master. The game covers 16 categories spanning different styles and eras of motorsport, including Rallycross, open-wheel single seaters, SuperTrucks, GT racing and Eurotrucks. There are 32 tracks across 17 locations to race on.
How a group plays it together
Online multiplayer runs curated races for up to 12 players from around the globe, and you can create your own tournaments to play online with friends. Locally, Free Play Mode lets you set up race events or tournaments against AI or with friends in local multiplayer, with support for 4-player local play and split screen. Remote Play Together is also available. Weekly Time Trials let you challenge friends and the rest of the world on regularly updated events, and global ghosts show how other players are tackling each track. Race replays let you re-watch your races to study your own racing lines and those of your opponents.
What to know before starting
Fuel usage, tire degradation and racing damage are optional systems, and when they are on, a good pit stop strategy can make the difference between hero and zero. You will be choosing your pit stop strategy during the race, not just driving flat out. Five AI difficulties are available to match your skill level on the road to mastery, and single-player Grand Prix tournaments are designed for all 12 categories. As you level up you unlock liveries, helmets and victory celebrations to customize your car and driver in the Garage.
