Descend into the Catacombs

Catacomb Kids is a 2D platformer roguelike set in a buried fortress where kids go seeking riches, power, knowledge, and escape. The dungeons are procedurally generated, so each run lays out new rooms, traps, and enemies to deal with. You fight with swords, spears, axes, and daggers, and back that up with magic that can burn, freeze, and poison foes. Death is permanent, so a run that goes badly ends there. The game is in Early Access, and it leans on quick reactions, tactical fights, and how you grow your character over the course of a run.

Playing together

The game supports local co-op, so a group can sit down and take on the Catacombs on one setup. Remote Play Together is also available, which lets friends join over the internet as if they were on the same couch. Working together matters down there: you can lure monsters into fights with each other and use environmental hazards to push enemies into their own demise. With more hands, there is more room to split attention between threats, traps, and the fights you choose to take.

Systems that feed each other

Basic elements interact to produce complex outcomes, so a fire spell near an enemy, a trap, or a bit of terrain can turn a fight in a direction you did not plan. Crafting happens inside the game world itself, with no material farming and no menu sorting between you and the item you want to make. That keeps the pace up and rewards thinking on your feet.

Before you start

Expect a difficult game with permanent death; a careless moment can end a run outright. The dungeons change every time, so learning the layout of one run will not carry over to the next. Combat rewards reading the situation before committing, and the tools you build along the way shape how you handle what comes. The game is still in Early Access, so content and systems can shift as development continues.
