What Casey Powell Lacrosse 16 is

Casey Powell Lacrosse 16 is a lacrosse sports game built around the mix of basketball-style movement and passing with hockey-style stick skills, shooting and hitting. The result is a fast, high-scoring game where you push the ball upfield, look for numbers in transition, and finish your chances. On defense you decide when to stop the ball, when to scrape, and when to rotate, and in settled play you choose how far to close out, whether to sit in zone, and whether to lock off the other team's best players. Face-offs are handled in first person, where you control every movement of your stick with clamp, pinch and pop, and laser options.

Playing together

The game has online multiplayer built from the ground up, so you can jump into competitive ranked play against friends and other players, or run a franchise together through an online tournament. Progress carries through badges and experience as you climb the leaderboards. Quick Game is there for when the group has little time: pick up a controller and play straight away, with hundreds of custom teams and thousands of unique players available. Remote Play Together is supported, which lets friends join in over a single copy.

Career and creation

Coach Career and Be The Player Mode let you start as a youth, a star, or a coach and work your way from college into the pros across multiple years. The Lacrosse Academy is where you build teams, players, coaches, and referees to share. Player creation covers height, weight, skin, physique, facial features and hairstyle, while equipment covers helmets, jerseys, elbow pads, gloves, stick handles, stick heads, war paint, socks and shoes. Real-time RPG leveling and character customization run alongside this, so your player develops as you play.

Before you start

The game requires an internet connection to boot. You can disconnect from the internet once at the main menu. Beyond that, expect a game that rewards timing and positioning: big hits land when you time your attack, stick checks strip the ball, combination dodges beat defenders, and quick stick passing exploits gaps. Knowing when to push transition and when to settle the ball is what separates winning teams.
