Carry the Count gives you and your friends an unusual delivery job: get a vampire lord and his coffin across a fantasy country to the woman who sent him a five-word letter. It is an online co-op adventure for one to four players. You play as one of the Count’s Igor servants, threading a heavy, breakable coffin through rough ground, puzzles, enemies, and other complications with its owner riding inside. The romance behind the trip has been a long time coming: the Count spent centuries writing letters and poetry, then received a brief invitation from Romilda. The contrast between that grand history and his very literal delivery request sets up the game’s dry, ridiculous tone.

Two Igors stand beside their coffin outside a small, lantern-lit shop in a snowy clearing.

The coffin sets the pace

You can ride on top of the coffin, steer it across open ground, and use its controls when the route calls for more than walking. In one moment, your group may be guiding it along a narrow ledge; in another, the winch and grapple let you pull it up a cliff or swing it over a ravine. A mounted cannon adds a more forceful option: it can launch an Igor toward a spot the coffin cannot reach by itself. Then the group has to bring the coffin after them and repair damage from the journey.

Igors can also leave the coffin and move on foot. They can climb, swim, and fight, so the journey includes stretches away from the shared cargo before the delivery continues.

A journey through a dangerous country

The Count wants to reach Romilda, and you carry him from his castle toward her estate. The route runs through named regions such as the Mushroom Caves, Serpent Swamp, Reeking Bog, Shivering Summits, Hot Springs, and Bloodwood Pass. Hazards along the way range from falling boulders and guards to trolls, barbarians, thunder golems, and time wizards.

Puzzle sections ask you to read the terrain and find a way through it. Many challenges allow more than one solution, so progress is not simply about finding a path wide enough for a box.

Useful objects, questionable snacks, and Baba Yaga

Punching barrels can yield coins, and Baba Yaga’s shop wanders the map on chicken legs, trading magical items for coins, stolen pretties, and other glittering finds. The route also turns up sausages and toxic mushrooms to eat, hats to wear, and flutes or drums to play. Gob tries to stay professional, Scab wants to do his job, Stink is bloodthirsty, and Plunk is simply Plunk; the Count supplies running insults about Plunk’s head and smell.

Is it a fit for your group?

For a shared session, plan around online play. The minimum requirements are Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 8 GB of memory, a GTX 1060 6 GB or Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB graphics card, DirectX 12, broadband, and 6 GB of storage. You can play with a controller. The game also supports full key rebinding and colour alternatives, separates the Count’s dialogue volume from other audio, and provides subtitles in thirty languages. Those options give your group room to adjust controls, colours, and the passenger’s voice for a session.

Carry the Count suits groups looking for an irreverent journey where transporting a fragile coffin is as central as combat, puzzles, and exploration. Friends looking for competitive matches or a short, tightly scripted mission may prefer another kind of game.
