What BAPBAP is
BAPBAP is a top-down roguelike party game built around fast, free-flowing combat and randomized builds. After every round you pick a new power, so each match hands you a fresh pile of options to combine into something ridiculous or regrettable. The cast is wide and varied: a goldfish piloting a mech, a Russian samurai, ramen with legs, and more, each with its own skillset. Powers range from turning into a giant metallic duck to speccing into turretmancy to plain poison, and the environment throws in extra chaos like a roaming giga slime, a crane's payload blocking escape routes, or a nuclear bomb fished out of nowhere. Everything is dodgeable, so losses come down to your own reads rather than unavoidable hits.
Playing with your group
You can invite up to 7 friends into a single all-out brawl, making it a natural pick for a Discord group that wants to play together. There is no matchmaking and no ranks, so you set up custom games with your own wild rulesets or jump into community-run servers and take whatever shows up. The team-based and PvP tags both apply: you build synergies with allies one moment and betray them the next, which is why the game is best played with friends who can handle it. Expect multi-target knockups, turnaround 1v3s, and watching your mates get hit by their own traps.
Before you start
Know that BAPBAP leans into randomness on purpose. Build combos are freshly randomized each game, so adapting on the fly matters more than memorizing a single optimal loadout. The tone is casual and party-oriented rather than competitive, with stylized anime-flavored visuals and a sandbox attitude where nothing makes sense but also everything makes sense. It is free to play, and the Steam features list online co-op and online PvP, so you will need to be online to play with others.
